Acidic Yellow was recorded in the summer of 2019 in Los Angeles, for members of the Sunset ChamberFest.
The piece explores four contrasting treatments of the same harmonic material. Rhythmic drive, prolation canons, lyric solos, and percussive unisons juxtapose sharply, highlighting the virtuosity of the instrumentalists and the dynamic possibilities of the ensemble.
